Towers

There are three crochet flowers on the desk to my right and a bracelet made of two kinds of yarn on my left wrist. These are things I’ve learned how to make. Sometimes I think maybe if I looked through the centers of the smaller flowers, the hollow flowers, I would see things in different way.
I finished a book today. I think I’m seeing things differently, but I’m not sure what’s different. It seems like that’s always the way, with these books.
The book was called The Fall of the Towers – by Samuel R. Delany.
It was very beautiful.
